Hi, I'm Mehedi Hasan Sarif, a treatment writer and visual researcher from Mumbai. At WIP.DOCKET, I help commercial directors with their treatment pitching. I do visual research, treatment writing, and layout design as well. Here, I develop treatments from briefs and shape the director's vision into a compelling story. Coming from an engineering background, writing treatments was not my cup of tea. It was only after I discovered a few international treatment writers' work that helped me associate treatment writing with filmmaking. Since then, writing a treatment for me is all about recalling the filmmaking we learn from StudioBinder or filmmaking books — the right choice of lighting, lens, and pace of camera movement to shape the narrative.

So far, I have a track record of working with directors from NYC, Africa, and India. Two of the renowned Indian directors among them were Mr. Shoojit Sircar, a household name in Bollywood, and Dadu, a household name in the Mumbai ad film industry.

Apart from treatment writing, I have experience of working as a DA and 2nd AD.
